- Played five years at James Madison University (NCAA D-I), going 7-2 with a 4.67 ERA in 20 games (14 starts) as a graduate student in 2024 along with 72 strikeouts and 26 walks in 94 1/3 innings

- Appeared in 15 games with five starts his senior in 2023, striking out 27 and walking 23 in 33 2/3 innings while coming back from an injury

- Dominated in two starts as a junior in 2022 with a 0.82 ERA and 17 strikeouts against two walks in 11 innings for JMU before suffering a season-ending injury

- Originally joined the Dukes' program as a "walk-on"
