Nick Kennedy enters his fourth season as the Grizzlies' pitching coach in 2025.

No stranger to the Frontier League, Kennedy was a pitcher in the league with the River City Rascals under manager Steve Brook from 2012-17, where he was one of their most-trusted relievers with a distinct side-arm style. Having also seen action on the mound in 2022 season with Gateway, his 280 career appearances were a Frontier League record until last season.

In between his time with the Rascals and his coaching career with Gateway which began in 2022, he pitched in 2018 and 2019 with the Rockland Boulders in the Can-Am League, and set a league record with 59 appearances in 2019.

Originally from California, he pitched at the University of Kentucky for three years as well as East Los Angeles College in his home state.

Like Steve Brook, Kennedy works as a teacher in the offseason. He resides in St. Charles, Missouri.
